Problem with new version 1.15 glass pane

Why it is not possible to combine glass panes with stairs.In version 1.14 it was possible.
they removed it because it was hard to maintain, it may come back as a standalone mod
It is a pity, maybe I will wait for the independent mod. I have to stay on version 1.14, because I would have to convert half of the buildings in the world.
