Crash when moving adjacent belts with sticky mechanical pistons

Describe the Bug

I have a setup where pistons extend/retract adjacent belts and the render thread crashes. I've attached a schematic built in vanilla Forge/Create with a 100% repro crash case. Toggle the switch which will move the pistons in/out - crashes when the belts retract. Crash report and example image also attached.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Setup adjacent belts pushed by separate mechanical sticky pistons, driven by gearshifts
  2. Toggle the gearshifts such that the pistons extend then retract
  3. Crash

Expected Result

The belts should extend/retract either individually or jointly, and not crash
