Can't drive trains in VR

Describe the Bug
When using trains in normal create mod, WASD is used to control the train. It would be logical to expect the same to be true in VR with the left stick being used instead of WASD. This does not work though and when attempting to drive trains in VR nothing happens except you just walk in the direction of the left stick. The game seems to not recognize that the left stick is the movement control for the train and instead keeps moving the player. I tried using the seat block to sit in while driving but that doesn't help as you can't interface with the train controls while mounted(another bug). I play Minecraft VR with the Vivecraft mod and steam VR on Quest 2.
Reproduction Steps
- Connect Quest 2 to PC with quest link/air link
- launch steam VR in the headset
- Launch forge with vivecraft and create
- make a world and join it
- build a train track of any shape
- build a working, drivable train on the track
- attempt to control the train by pressing A (on quest 2) while aiming at the controls
- attempt to drive the train with the left-hand stick
- instead of the train moving the character will move
- try again but this time mount a seat block on the train
- the player will not move and the train won't move either because you are unable to interface with the train controls with the A button
Expected Result
My expectation was that the player's movement controls would be disabled while interfaced with the train controls and that the left stick would be used to control forward, backward, left and right. While mounted on a seat I expected much of the same but this does not happen because you can not interface with the train controls while mounted.
