Describe the Suggestion

I would love to see a block that works like a casing but is hollow so you only can see it's frame and the inside working. I plan on using this for my windmill kind of like a pole for attachment. so I can still see the shaft rotating inside.

There is the https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/create-crystal-clear mod, which adds casings with glass windows, but it might not be exactly what your looking for.

That's indeed not exactly what I'm looking for but a step in the right direction. Sadly I can't be using that since I'm playing fabric.
