sometimes, the block a player is standing on in a contraption will disappear when it stops. see video. this is not consistent at all, and doing the exact same thing twice can give different results.

sometimes switching the rotation direction while the piston is moving causes the piston to reset. it will disconnect all currently extended shafts, and get a new piston head. the old one still remains where it was. this is also not consistent.

the block disappearing seems to happen almost all the time when moving upwards, but never going downwards.
