Unable to connect auto-crafters (placed by schematicannon, mirrored schematic)

Describe the Bug
Placed a machine using schematicannon to find the connections between automatic crafters are not correct. Tried to fix the connections by using wrench on their backs, as I normally do, but it would not let me connect some of the edges. Setting up an isolated test showed that this only happens if you mirror the schematic, otherwise there are no issues.
Furthermore the auto-crafters placed in this way behave oddly in a way that if you place items in them, the items will be voided, they will leave your inventory and will not be in the crafter slot, breaking the crafters does not help.
Reproduction Steps
- create a 3x3 auto crafter grid and add a single cog to any of the sides, connect them all using wrench
- create a schematic of the grid + cog
- place the schematic and mirror it while doing so
- add it to schematicannon and run it
- try changing the connections at the back using wrench, you should be able to change some, but not all of them
Expected Result
It should allow changing all of the connections as it does when placed manually or by a non-mirrord schematic.
