Describe the Suggestion

When an Andesite Casing is crafted with four redstone dust and four glowstone dust, an analog lamp is the result.
An analog lamp is a light source whose brightness is equal to the redstone signal strength at it's location.
It's appearance is similar to a Redstone Lamp, but with it's dark brown parts replaced with andesite grey.

The Block Light Sensor crafted similarly to a Daylight sensor, but with Electron Tubes instead of Nether Quartz, and three are made per recipe.
This block produces as much redstone power as there is light at it's location, and can be measured by a Redstone Comparator.
The block has two modes: One which considers only light from blocks, and the other where it considers whichever of block light or sky light is brighter.
It's appearance is similar to a Daylight Sensor, but the nine top circles are pink or magenta instead of white.

These two blocks together can be used to create short range wireless redstone, without needing nonrenewable brass.
A better name for the Block Light Sensor would be appreciated.
