Describe the Bug

Whenever i load up my forge 1.20.1 with create. Whenever it gets to the title screen, it says there was a "resource reload failed" in the top right. Also, the "Mods" tab has been turned into "fml.menu.mods" Whenever i click any mods in the mods tab or try to load or create a world in singleplayer, it crashes. I've tried to remove create and this problem does not persist.

Reproduction Steps

  1. load up forge with launcher
    2.gets to the title screen
3.goes into singleplayer/clicks the mods tab
4.clicks create a new world or tries to load an existing one/clicks any of the mods
    5.game crashes

Expected Result

For the game to not crash and run normally

sometimes the "resource reload failed" problem mb shown because of incompatibility with optifine, i'd check it first.
imho

commented

please remove optifine and try again, the we will see

commented

ah, i'll try it without optifine. it's strange though because i've used create with optifine before, but yes i'll give it a try, i will let you know if anything changes

commented

yes, the problem has been completely solved. however, i only really use optifine when playing minecraft, do you have any recommendations for any other optimisation mods? if you do it'd help a ton, thank you both for the help!

commented

trying to fix crashes that came from incompatibility with optifine like this is a headache because optifine has no open source code and it is very strange. I knew it because i have a mod and some users had the same issue because of incompatibility with optifine

I really like using Rubidium for optimization (it is basically the forge version of Sodium) and if you want to add shaders you can download Oculus.
