Chute interaction crashed my server.

Describe the Bug
It seems that dropped items on a chute do not decay. A player on my server made a cobble gen that was making more cobble than it was consuming. The cobble built up on the chute until there were 35,000 items on it (pocket math says this took 5 hours) and crashed the server.
Reproduction Steps
- Make some machine that drops items on a chute and doesn't use them all
- Leave running
- Items never decay
Expected Result
I understand the logic of not wanting backed up items to decay on a chute if this is intentional but they should decay like normal or relatively normal (2x or 3x timer).

Additional Context
The chunks were loaded with ftbchunks. Maybe this behavior doesn't happen with a player in the room or chunks loaded some other way.
