Describe the Bug

Crushing Wheels get clogged when items are inputted rapidly, chutes and belts are a way around it though.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Place Chute or dropper like item one block above crushing wheel
  2. Output items rapidly

Expected Result

Crushing Wheels to not be stuck on one stack of item

crushing wheels have a limited capacity and it takes time to process a stack of items. while the stack is being processed, there is no room for additional items. there doesn't seem to be an issue here. I would recommend you lower the input chute by one block so that it outputs directly into the crushing wheels instead of dropping items on top.

no look at the video, The stack in the wheels isn't being processed, it has the animation but it never finishes and it doesn't enter the crushing wheel controller, this causes problems with entity clearing stuff on servers since items never get processed and get deleted since they're never accepted by the wheel since it's clogged forever

my weird way of inputting items was because my ores were limited, it was supposed to simulated continuous dropping

I do not see what you claim to see. I clearly saw a stack disappear into the crushing wheels. while it is being processed, you cannot see it and no other items can get in. my suggestion to lower the chute precisely gets rid of the issue of having items in world. the chute will directly input into the crushing wheels when room becomes available. if you need to process ores faster you will need multiple crushing wheels working in parallel.

your issue is that you are dropping items in world faster than the crushing wheels can process them. so (1) dont drop them in world - input them directly into the crushing wheels, (2) parallelize to increase throughput.

No look at 0:15. That's where the bug is active. It loops the animation like that again and again and clogs the machine FOREVER (well until the wheel is unloaded that is). Also I do know that I can just put the chute one block lower, the main problem is this thing

It's a public crushing wheel (it's designed crappily for balancing reasons) for the server to assist early game players. But this bug gets triggered on it sometimes and people lose their stuff because of the entity clearing. It's a slow crushing wheel so it's easier to trigger the bug here and just have it be stuck and unusable for an indeterminate period.

Did you get any solution to this? I'm having the same issue with Create 0.5.1.f latest version as of now. So the items put into keeps looping until we remove the items fed. With or without a chute below it. I do have a washing setup right below it.
