Sequenced Gearshift are inconsitent

Describe the Bug
Sequenced gearshifts powering mechanical pistons that push around redstone block to power them are inconsitent
Reproduction Steps
- place several Sequenced gearshifts "sandwiched" between chain drives
- give them as instructions "delay 1s" then "move piston 1m" towards the next
- the last gearshift should have "delay 1s" then "move piston x m" back to the first gearshift
- place a mechanical piston, with a redstone block, such that the redstone block powers the first gearshift, pushing it to the next, and so on
Sometimes, at different speeds, the gearshift will just decide not to work
Expected Result
Each gearshift pushes the redstone block to the next in line

Logs are provided in the google drive, the modpacks are pretty large
Additional Context
For the LITV version, it seemed that reducing the memory allocated for minecraft (so as to run both LITV and ATM at the same time to record and compare them), the behavior became more inconsistent, as seen in the videos
Above and Beyond modpack shows consistent and appropriate behavior
@Attack8 thing is, it's also inconsistent accross Forge versions
