This crash occurs when launching the game, I have attempted this with no other mods (Other than Forge) to no avail. I am using the most recent recommended version of Forge.

Hey from what I could see your not on the newest forge version. Your on the recommended version which is 28.1.0 but the newest version is the latest version that does work is 28.1.92 that's the version I'm running for forge. Also in your java arguments if you change -xss1m to -xms2g or even -xms3g do to you running a max at 6g it will load faster and smother. I tested my pc with your parameters and it took my pc almost 20 mins to catch up. I have a low powered cpu which and on a laptop.

If those changes dont fix the issue I recommend you slow add the mods, so move all mods out of folder into a new folder on your desktop, and add a couple in at a time like 2-3 in the order you would perfer to have least important to be added in last. This will help you find the issue faster and it will help save the info cleaner. That's how I have fixed a few issues. As a extra note I have tan into issues with optifine newer version do to it using fabric code which crashes on forge. Not sure if that applies to your copy.

If, as you say there are no other mods present, then the problem is indeed the forge version.
Try going with the latest rather than the age-old recommended version. Once we're out of beta I will do my best to support recommended too.
