Backtank drains in spectator

Describe the Bug

If you are wearing any combination of diving gear in Spectator while under water, you will get the Water Breathing effect and your backtank will drain. This does not happen in Creative mode.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Put on any combination of diving gear.
  2. Switch to spectator and put your head under water.
  3. Watch the backtank pressure go down.

Expected Result

I expect identical results to Creative: no water breathing effect and no backtank pressure loss.
