Just a few of my ideas.  If you don't like them, please let me know.  I'm gonna start modding in a month or two and would like to make a Create addon with all of the features listed here, assuming you don't like them enough to put them in the base mod.  So TL;DR please tell me if you are gonna add these to the mod or not.

Elevator Box = Exactly what it sounds like, a 3-block-wide, 3-block-deep, 3-block-tall placeable item that connects to Elevator Chains.

Elevator Wheel = Place one of these at the top of your elevator setup, and one at the very bottom.  Use moving shafts to spin them, propelling you're entire elevator system.

Elevator Chain = Connects to two elevator wheels and the elevator box.  This is 100% required for a functional elevator setup.

Ender Shaft = Kinda like the modded ender chests from the Ender Chests mod, being color-coded with three dyeable buttons on the top.  If two or more of these have the same color code, like pink-pink-green for example, and one moves, so do the others.

Ender Cog = Just like the Ender Shaft but it's a cog, it's not hard to imagine how this works.

While I really like them, here are the reasons why I haven't and will not implement these in the base mod:

  • Create's approach to multiblocks is that the player designs them. Therefore I'm focusing on making the mechanical piston & moved contraptions in general more reliable for applications like Elevators, rather than adding a whole suite of pre-designed blocks to do that job specifically. What I will consider is generic pulleys and some redstone utility to help with setting up such a contraption in a relatively compact fashion.
  • "Ender Blocks" will bypass all challenges you face when setting up contraptions. Having seen how motors do that in demo right now, I don't like enabling the option to pay your way past the experience with 'expensive' materials. If we make remote links available to kinetics, they will be much less compact and portable than a mysterious green colored ender shaft. =D

I'm all for supporting extensions and splitting up the base mod when that time comes. Please keep in mind that during this early beta phase, there is no convenient API for interactions and dependencies on Create and they are likely to break with major updates.
