Redstone Links not updating correctly, keeping "ghost redstone signal"

Describe the Bug

Redstone Links seem to have trouble getting block updates when changing them from receiving to sending.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Build setup shown in screenshots
  2. Turn set frequency on
  3. Change receiving Redstone Link into sending
  4. Update manually by placing block nearby
    ...

Expected Result

Since no redstone signal should be present after turning the receiver into an emitter, it should turn off.
