Unexpected ending position for pulley+drill when encountering obstructions
egginabox0 opened this issue ยท 0 comments
Describe the Bug
When a drill attached to a rope pulley (which has a rotational input provided by a sequenced gearshift) encounters an obstruction and drills through it, the expected ending position is not equal to the observed ending position. This is a bug because: the inputted distance is not equal to the observed distance. (See video media for a visual explanation & example)
Reproduction Steps
- Create two identical drill-and-pulley systems as shown in the attached video media
- Add a sequenced gearshift and ensure that rotational output goes to both pulleys
- Observe difference in ending position
Expected Result
Both drill-and-pulley systems should end up at the same ending position (obstructions = latency, but that's to be expected)
