Visual Bug with Mechanical Belts
PinkLasagna03 opened this issue · 13 comments
Describe the Bug
Take a look at the videos, this occurs even when all other mods are disabled. Sometimes the belts dont move at all, or this weird copper/green part is rendered. The kinetics of the belt still works. For some reason, when Oculus is installed and shaders is enabled, this bug doesn't occur.
Reproduction Steps
- install forge
- install create
- make a mechanical belt and power it
Expected Result
No visual bugs

I have this exact same issue. Belts are working, but don't look like they are moving. I tried with Oculus/ shaders and without and still get this issue. Tried with mods, and vanilla with just create.

@Spinsz What GPU do you have?

@PinkLasagna03 I have an RX6800 XT.
I think this issue has to do with the latest AMD Adrenaline Drivers Update, before that update I hadn't had any issue. Perhaps the developers could find a fix?

Hmm, I'll rollback the drivers and see if it changes. I'll definitely let you know.
I'm also seeing this. Though I do find that reloading shaders (even though I don't have any installed) can kick the graphics into working properly. It seems like it's dependent on what angle I'm looking at a belt at, so I generally have mixture of odd-looking and sensible looking. I'm also getting a lot of lighting glitches - like the display on my stressometer being completely black, but that may be unrelated.
I have an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT and I'm on AMD Adrenaline version 24.3.1.

Try "/flywheel backend batching" the issue seems to be with flywheel.
I finally got time to play again tonight and tried this - instantly solved the graphical glitches, both for belts and the lightning glitches I was experiencing.

This makes all my mobs in the world invisible, but turning it off seems to fix it
