Describe the Suggestion

There are a variety of blocks that allow you to extend a contraption in a straight line. I think it would be quite useful to have those blocks act as data sources for the Display Link, returning the current extension length of the contraption. This could be displayed as a number (in blocks), a percentage, or a progress bar.

Blocks that this could work with:

• Mechanical Piston
• Rope Pulley
• Elevator Pulley
• Hose Pulley (not sure how useful this would be, but might as well complete the set)
• Gantry Shaft (attaching a display link directly to the shaft might look weird though)

Potentially, this could also work with the Mechanical Bearing, displaying the current angle of the attached contraption.

Additional Context

I think this change would make it much more feasible to create a "control room" for your base, displaying the current status of all your mechanical contraptions. It would also be useful to easily check on the progress of a vertical drill, or to get more precise information from an elevator than just what floor it's on.

This is a really cool idea!
