Adjustable Chain Gearshift slows down instead of speeds up

The tooltip states that a full redstone signal will make the Adjustable Chain Gearshift rotate at 2x the speed, but it makes it rotate at 0.5x the speed instead.
You need the adjustable chain gearshift to be the first one in the line, and the one receiving the power you want to speed up. If not, it'll half the speed instead of doubling it. Not a bug but an intended feature.
