I don't expect them to update to every Minecraft version, especially when "dot" MC releases break so much. Just like with the 1.19.x series where they supported the last hotfix, 1.19.2, I expect them to only support 1.20.1 on 1.20.x. A lot of modders have been doing the same thing as they prefer to focus on the mod itself rather than on porting and supporting different versions. In fact, Create 0.5.1-f is available for 1.18.2, 1.19.2 and 1.20.1! 1.20.1 is simply the defacto target for the 1.20.x lifecycle.
Because of their high usage. Have a look at the download stats of create versions and of popular modpacks.
1.20.4 is only currently popular because it's the latest version - which is compatible with vanilla servers and realms.
Should i switch my modpack to 1.20.1, are there any important bug fixes in 1.20.2/3?
If you want to play with a lot of mods, yes, create a 1.20.1 instance.
1.20.3/1.20.4 and 1.20.5 make huge changes for modders. 1.20.5 is particularly big. There are some bug fixes, sure, but there's none I was waiting for. Personally I'm happy to just wait for 1.21 to see those changes and bug fixes.
