Self-Powering Components

I connect a windmill (36 sails each side) to a Rotation Speed Control which then goes to a Mechanical Pump pumping lava from a lava farm. Once the pump is connected, when a disconnection is made, the components power themselves (refer to video). This is strange behaviour, the components should stop rotating. The game does not register wrench clicks, commands, gamemode changes after this. The world also does not save, forcing me to end the task via Task Manager. I have updated all my mods to the latest version, but it seems that Create is the problem. I ran alone and the problem remained

This error with the pump powering itself occurs no matter what source of power it gets.
