Crash when moving pedestals from pedestals mod

Minecraft version 1.16.4
Create version 1.16.3_v0.3
Pedestal version 0.8p
When using the piston and chassis to move a pedestal it crashes with this log

so pedestals have 2 IItemHandlers one is public and is for the single slot inventory, the other is private and for the upgrades so you cant pull the upgrades out of the pedestal.
im assuming with this:
its unable to check the private IItemHandler and is probably the root cause of this issue.
