[Suggestion]: Full Screen Chat Doesn't Pause Anymore, Bug/Feature?

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I'm always frustrated when I remember how back in 1.12.2 I could use the full screen MineTogether chat to chat without having the game run (if I want to chat with the game running then the in-game chat was what I'd use).

Describe the solution you'd like

My assumption is that this is a base change to how MineCraft or modloaders work in modern versions (tested in SB3, 1.18.2), but if that isn't the case would it be possible to add a feature (ideally toggleable in the in-game gear settings menu, or perhaps better yet in the full screen chat window) to allow for pausing to be enabled or disabled? This would, of course, only work in singleplayer.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Usually when I want to chat but do not want my game to run for various reasons I'll either save and exit my world to chat from the main menu, or I'll keep the game paused via the ESC menu and then chat in quick bursts. These work although are suboptimal, although I feel like an XKCD workflow spacebar heating (https://xkcd.com/1172/) user reading this back over now.

Additional context

Hopefully this isn't something that is just impossible because of a change to the base game or modloader but that is my assumption going into this. Also, tiny little bug that I don't think warrants reporting but it doesn't appear that key repeating works in the full screen chat. That makes sense to avoid the "aaaaaaaa" spammers, but could it be given an approval list so you can have key repeating for backspace? This pretty much doesn't matter because shift + home + delete works better anyways but something I noticed whilst testing this. Thanks and I'll try and avoid any more issues this week, haha!

Oh really quick note that I only thought of literally seconds after submitting: I tried this with pause of loss of focus (F3 + P) enabled and disabled, same result. Thanks!
