Mexican food

As Mexican I got excited when I saw Mexican food can be crafted, but the recipes are a little off.
The Salsa which I think tries to be "Pico de gallo" should have onion, the "chile" should be a green chile like serrano or jalapeño, the main ingredients are supposed to be the Mexican flag red (tomato), white (onion) and green (jalapeño/serrano). Lime and salt are correct. Lastly, instead of tomatillo it should be cilantro.
Burritos, this one really hurt me. The recipe is more an American burrito than a Mexican one, I mean, it doesn't have beef.... So, I think to crafted it should be some kind of meat, beans and cheese, probably double tortilla if you don't want to created a new item for a burrito size tortilla. Tomato is okay but in a personal stand I don't like to add it to my burritos.
Tostadas, where is the cheese? even the item looks like it has something yellow but it is more common to use white cheese
Fajita, this one CAN'T have tofu, pork or chicken because it is a fajita taco, the ingredient is fajita (a specific part of the cow). The rest of the ingredients are optional to every person, if it is only a fajita taco, then its only a tortilla and fajita. BUT if you add cheese that makes it a quesadilla de fajita. Also, it needs a tortilla to actually be what the item sprit suggest, a fajita taco
Pastel de tres leches, from where did you get that recipe? I know some places add rum, but it is not the type you will give to your kids or the one you will buy in a super market. its called tres leches because it uses 3 types of different milks, condensada, entera, and evaporada. so, the crafting recipe should be something more similar to the vanilla cake, egg, sugar, 3 buckets of milk, vanilla, whipping cream, flour and strawberry if you want to make it 9 items
Chile relleno and stuffed poblano, I don't know if there are two options because different parts of Mexico use different kinds of chiles, but the one I know is with chile poblano which its not in the recipe
Quesadilla, a regular size quesadilla only needs cheese and one tortilla. The one in the crafting recipe looks more like the one sold in the restaurant Taco Palenque
All tacos can have aguacate (Avocado), many of the vegetables and fruits are optional to made Mexican food because everyone has a different taste. I don't mind having onion, tomato, lettuce or avocado in many of the recipes even if I personally will not eat it like that.
Also, can you please add arroz con leche? when I saw there was cinnamon and Mexican food it was the first thing that I search and didn't find. Is very simple, rice, milk, cinnamon, sugar, raisins and a cooking pot
One last suggestion, if you want to make a food with sour cream you can make flautas, they are really good irl
I just want to say thank you for taking the time to write out some feedback for the mod. I did read it closer to when you posted it originally but didn't really have anything to answer with.
The update that added these foods may have been more inspired by 'Texmex' than straight up Mexico as in this case it was something I was more familiar with. I suppose additionally there are some foods I'd just want to make one variation of in the interest of keeping the food kinda varied. That might change in the future and i've certainly not been very consistent with this (jams and juice, yet only one type of peanut butter and jam sandwich?) but I think the current goal would be to add foods that try not to overlap too much while making use of more and more of the base ingredients in the mod already.

It's probably the most American of the foods added, I suppose I could add meat to it, or even add another one but for now I think this one fits with the ingredients it has, and also being a food with an origin in Mexico.
Tostadas, where is the cheese? even the item looks like it has something yellow but it is more common to use white cheese
I think I forgot the cheese, because I've had tostadas with both in the past. so I'll try and get that fixed at some point

I can remove the tofu, though I'd keep the beef, chicken and pork most likely. I did forget the tortilla haha.

I think I saw it in a restaurant and it just stuck in my mind, seemed like a good fit in to give it a hunger refill of 18. I've never had rum on any tres leche cake I've eaten so I'll probably change the recipe to be closer to yours.

this one i also messed up on, it uses black pepper rather than chile peppers, and even then yea, it probably shouldn't use chile peppers. They were more meant to be a generic pepper so I wouldn't have to add 5 other peppers that people commonly use in cooking, but I don't think I'm too opposed to adding a poblano plant.

Sure, I don't mind.
Just wanted to say thanks for writing this all out, I think it's cool that you seem to like the mod enough to make an issue for me to try and improve upon the foods you enjoy.
Sorry for responding until now, I did see it when you originally wrote it but I was on stream so I forgot to answer back.
First of all, thank you so much for this mod. I had really enjoy it a lot in my test worlds and I can't wait to eat some tacos on the stream world. From my friends playing with me and my viewers, we thank you for giving us a spot on the mod.
I'm not sure how Mexican food is outside Texas, so when I said "American" it was referring to "TexMex" food, is hard to find a good restaurant tho, the only one my family and I enjoy is "Taco Palenque".
I don't know how to make a citation, but about the burrito. Yeah, it would be nice to have another one that is more Mexican so both audiences can have what they prefer.
About the fajita, thank you for removing tofu, not sure if pork would work, but I do know there is chicken fajita besides beef.
Anything else I agree and I thank you for your consideration about my words. I do feel the need to apologize because of my English, since covid started I hadn't practice it that much.
Later on I will ad another response, I got some request of food or drinks that I was told to tell you, but right now I donmt remember and they are asleep. Any way, thank you so much for this mod, is the best about food that I have found <3
