Description of your suggestion.

I would like to suggest adding pickles (and possibly vinegar) to the mod!

If you wanted to keep things simple, you could do recipes that combine veggies with salt, sugar, seasonings, and water, with most of the art just being color-shifted versions of existing art.

On the other hand, if you want a more intricate system, pickling could be turned into a whole mechanic on its own, with dedicated blocks for turning alcohol into vinegar and for pickling different mixtures of items.

From existing crops in the mod and vanilla, here are just some of the pickles that could be made:

• pickled cucumbers
• pickled beets
• pickled radish
• pickled garlic
• pickled onions
• pickled ginger
• kimchi
• sauerkraut
• pickled anchovies
• pickled eggs
• various relishes and chutneys

Additionally, here are some crops/items that could be added that would be good for a pickle themed update, but also have other uses:

• dill (also useful for tzatziki sauce)
• hot peppers (possibly divided into several types, such as jalapenos and cayenne)
• okra (already suggest by someone else, also useful for gumbo, succotash, fired okra, and bhindi masala)
• pigs feet (also useful for various trotters recipes)
• Cilantro/Coriander (also useful for guacamole, garam masala, and ceviche)

There's a whole world of pickle-themed possibilities!
