Minecraft 1.19.2, Forge 43.2.21, Optifine_1.19.2_HD_U_I2, CTM- 1.19.2-1.1.6+8

Connected textures of blocks don't seem to be using smooth lighting. I have turned my shaders on/off and it's stayed the same. Smooth lighting is turned to max. The blocks that are using connecting textures are from chipped and create, which are the only mods I have installed that take advantage of ctm as far as I know.
