It would be really useful if you could define animation metadata for a texture in the model, so you could have a single texture sprite and reuse it with different frame arrays etc. for individual model elements. I'm not sure if this can be achieved without duplicating the texture for each animation state at runtime, but it'd still be better than having to physically duplicate the same texture in the textures folder for this kind of thing.
