Why kitchen must look like plain crafting table with wooden planks slab on top?

Moreover, I propose change crafting recipe to bit more "logical". Here my suggestion:

W - wooden planks block/slab(cutting board and rest of station)
C - crafting table
I - iron ingot(yeah, for knifes and spoons)
B - bowl
