This issue was encountered on a server.

While lantern is equiped and you get hit by a contraption with a saw it will crash the intire server

I have yet to encounter this issue, both in testing and in private servers.
Furthermore, since my mod simply renders a model on the player body, and uses Curio's native api to add a belt slot, there should be no mechanism to cause a crash on player entity interactions.

Do you have other mods installed alongside Create and Curious Lanterns? I need to be able to test in the same environment to make sure my mod isn't causing any problems.

We were using the Rise of the Kobold Modpack on curseforge. curios lanterns has since been removed from the pack

I've downloaded the pack for testing, and am still not encountering the issue as described.
Either I am not recreating the situation you experienced, or it is not my mod that is causing the crash, or if so, might be related to Curios or Radiant Gear rather than specifically Curious Lanterns.
