Discord as an image hosting service for other platforms just doesn't work anymore. They're really messing up some stuff behind the scenes.
If you need to fetch the images for rehosting, paste the 'invalid' links back into Discord and they will temporarily work when reopened directly in browser, allowing you to download them.
