So, I tried using the handbook to figure out how the bamboo pumps work, and it showed me this;

I then hovered over the thing for more info, and I got this;

I have zero clue what to do or how to fix it. I have the patchouli mod installed, so it should work. But it doesn't. I then went to the mod wiki for info and eventually figured out how the pumps work. [insert applause.mp4 here] However, I tried putting some purified water underneath it, and it said, 'Pump found no water.'

After testing, I found that it doesn't work with both purified and regular water. Is there something I'm missing? Does it only work on certain blocks? I'm really fucking confused and I have zero clue what to do. Please help me, I'd really appreciate it.
