Crashes game when attempting to open the inventory in survival/adventure/spectator mode

How do you trigger this bug?

1. Change in the configs either in-game or out-of-game to disable the diet button element
2. Launch game and enter a world
3. Open inventory in survival, adventure or spectator mode for the game to crash, doesn't crashes on opening of the creative inventory or going to the player inventory in creative mode
