*Title: Unable to pet dog, only opens the menu after following steps.

Description: More Help Needed; Still cannot pet dog even after doing steps provided on the right hand side of petting menu.

*Steps to Reproduce:
Step 1: Open the Menu and enter pet mode, select pet mode
Step 2: Sneak up to dog while in petting distance (I am rubbing up against them)
Step 3: Right Click, it just opens the dog menu
...

*Result:
Expected: Pet Dog
Actual: Opens Menu

*Environment:
Mod Loader + Version: Forge - 47.4.0
Minecraft Version: 1.20.1
Doggy Talents Next Version: 1.18.60

Also please note for my last bug report, I am sorry as I was not calling any of you developers of the mod dumb, as besides the issue I am having with petting, the mod is very nice and fun.

I am just frustrated because I did follow all the correct paths of FAQ, and rereading the text and still unable to pet them.

I have edited my current ticket as to align with how to report a bug/crash.

Gotcha, guess something happened on the server I was on and it didn't consider me the owner of my dog anymore, had to tame another one so I could pet him, thank you.
