I didn't know if i really had to report this as a bug but i just wanted to let you know. The config file in 1.12.2 has 2 times the dogGender setting.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to create this issue and I'm sorry I didn't get round to resolving it. I've not worked on this project for a while and have decided to archive the git repository.
