There is custom texture but it would be great to allow custom JEM compatibility

Feature Description:

The custom texture feature the mod already has it's great on it's own, however, it would be even better to allow custom JEM models, so anyone with Optifine knowledge could edit and 3D model whatever they wanted to have as a pet in game.
A great example is this texture pack by mrblueyeti, where he made a wolf.JEM file with tons of models of different dog breeds but depending on the texture mapping chosen in game you'd see totally different dogs of different sizes and breeds, and performance wise it doesn't even hurt it in the slightest after testing.

Texture pack: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/better-dogs

Everything there is invisible until textured, then the UV map automatically shapes the dog into one of the many variants, 2 examples below:

I honestly think this would be a groundbreaking addition to the mod, and it would make an already great mod even greater, not to mention this resource pack couldn't go any better with the thematic of the mod, so please consider implementing this kind of support.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to create this issue and I'm sorry I didn't get round to resolving it. I've not worked on this project for a while and have decided to archive the git repository. Fear not, there is a fork https://github.com/DashieDev/DoggyTalentsNext which might be of interest. I don't expect to be back within the Minecraft community so farewell and happy mining!
