For some reason, ever since I updated to 1.12.2a, the dogs seem to have this.. 'delay' or no response at all to any of the command emblem commands

Update: It seems that I'd have to be standing next to the whole in order for it to respond to my commands.. not something normal back in 1.11.2 nor before this update
