I am unable to re-produce, do you have any other mods present? Does it happen when lauching with just DT?

Yes I do. I believe around 300 (mods) :). The reason I did not do much troubleshooting is because I been using DoggyTalents-1.18.2-2.5.4 without problems for several months. I'll get some testing done hopefully today and let you know what I've messed up.

Oh wow that is a lot ;) It was probably me. I presume you have JEI installed in that lot? If so try updating that to the latest version of v10

This issue was of my own creation, if you have updated to the latest version of DT you can downgrade your JEI version again. JEI 10 is unstable as per #422
