Is this intentional? I kinda hate it because i can't place horizontal slabs.

Hi there! Have you checked what placement option you have in the doubleslabs-client.toml config file? It shouldn't always place, it depends on how you are facing etc assuming you are on the DYNAMIC placement method. Let me know if changing the placing method fixes this for you?
