When placing two slabs together, the texture will not render, showing instead the typical purple-black checkered design typical to missing textures. This happens with vanilla slabs of same type or mixed, and also with vanilla+modded or modded+modded slabs, both for normal and vertical slabs.

Also, the placement for modded slabs seens to be messed up. Modded horizontal slabs will be primarily placed vertically, needing to hold the sneak button to place them horizontally. This was not an issue with 1.15.2, as the mod worked fine with modded slabs

Slabs are placed vertically when placed on the side of a block and regularly when placed on the bottom or the top. To change the way the placement works you can alter the server config for the world to use the original placement mechanism. Also, could you send me a screenshot of the issue slabs and the console log please?

Hi, I got the same problem and I belive is caused by the error while placing the slabs, cause if I crouch and place it, it works fine (I don´t know where is the config so I still got it :v). I send you the screen, hope it helps o/
