Base information
Minecraft version: 1.16.5
Mod version: 3.0.17.420
Minecraft Forge version: 36.2.9
Mod Pack: FTB Oceanblock
Crash report: NA
Description
The Mob Grinder will not use the enchantments of certain weapons from different mods including the weapons from Draconic Evolution and the Kikoku from Mini Utilities.
Expected Outcome: Placing a Draconic Sword with Reaper 5 inside of a Mob Grinder to drop mob souls
Actual Outcome: Mob Grinder ignores the fact that it is a Draconic Evolution weapon and that it has the Reaper enchantment and not dropping mob souls
Repro Steps
Go into Draconic Evolution's cfg and set the mob soul drop rate to something high like 1 in 2 in order to reduce dependence on RNG in testing. Get a Draconic Sword with Reaper 5 and ensure that it has a charged power module. Place the sword into a Mob Grinder that has a steady supply of both power and mobs that meet its filters. Place a chest next to the Mob Grinder and ensure that it is set to automatically collect items. Then just monitor the chest for the lack of souls.
Then taking the sword out of the Mob Grinder (And turning it off) and using it on the same mobs will drop souls as expected.
Additional Testing Notes
I originally ran into this in my singleplayer FTB Oceanblock world and decided to do some testing in a creative world to try and figure out what the issue was. The following is a copy of the different types of weapons I tested from several mods and how they each responded to being used in and out of the Mob Grinder.
Draconic sword with Modules and the Reaper Enchant:
No energy drain on sword and no souls dropped when used in MG. Worked perfectly when used manually.
Mini Utilities's Kikoku with Reaper 5:
Same as Draconic Sword. Worked as intended manually but wouldn't apply enchantments when inside MG
Botania's Manasteel Sword with Reaper 5:
The first weapon to work correctly both in and out of the MG
Tinker's Construct Cleaver:
Seemed to apply Luck and Severing properly while taking damage. Percent based unbreaking effect from reinforced upgrades works as intended.
Tinker's Construct Cleaver with Unbreaking upgrade:
Works as intended. I believe this to be because TiC treats its unbreakable tools as having a 100% chance to not take durability damage instead of removing the durability statistic or changing how it functions as evidenced by how if the tool was damaged before the upgrade it simple stops being damaged further. This pre-existing damage can also still be repaired as normal.
