I am experiencing the same issue and have been trying to increase the probability of spawning by adjusting the configurations, but I haven't been able to find any options to change it. I'm not sure if the problem lies with the spawn settings or with one of the other mods I have installed.

I'm also getting zero dragon eggs, which sucks because we really love the dragons.
I'm also getting the same
return value of "com.github.kay9.dragonmounts.dragon.breed.DragonBreed.id()" is null
error. I don't know enough about how it all works, but some possible clues:

1. During the mod loading process in the list of modules loaded (e.g. [modloading-worker-0/INFO]: Loading Module XXXXX ) this mod isn't listed with the others - does that mean it's not being fully loaded properly?
2. In the mod loading process it's throwing this error: [Worker-Main4/WARN]: Unable to load model: 'dragonmounts:block/dragon_egg' referenced from: dragonmounts:dragon_egg#: java.io.FileNotFoundException: dragonmounts:models/block/dragon_egg.json. Looks like it's looking in the wrong directory structure. dragon_egg.json isn't in /src/main/resources/assets/dragonmounts/models/BLOCK/ but rather in /src/main/resources/assets/dragonmounts/models/ITEM/
   I'm not a java programmer myself otherwise I'd do some testing of things - probably duplicating the dragon_egg.json file over into the /block/ folder and then see if the eggs start spawning properly to see if that's the root of the issue - something like that.
