What is the spawn rate percentage of me finding a dragon egg in naturally generated chests?

Mod version: Dragon Mounts: Legacy [1.19.4] [1.1.5.a2]
curseforge version: 45.1.2
I wanted to ask 2 questions:
1:
from the mod showcases I've watched, it says that killing the ender dragon is not the only way to obtain an egg as dragon eggs of different types spawn in chests. I have been playing this mod for a month and yet to find one.

2:
in creative, when hatching an egg, from the videos I have seen they say it's 20 minutes but I afk for half an hour+ and the egg doesn't hatch.
Please help

  • You might be checking the right structures. Look in the loot files.
  • Did you right click the egg?
  1. I’m afraid I don’t understand, how may I access the loot files and what am I supposed to do when I do so?
  2. Yes. Moreover, in the videos, there was a countdown of seconds left for the egg to hatch, for some reason it’s not the same with mine.

  1. Eggs in loot chests are not enabled by default. By default, the way to obtain multiple eggs is by killing the ender dragon more than once. A feature of DM:L allows more than one egg after the first death.
If you wish to have eggs in loot chests, Refer to this.

  2. In 1.1.5a+ (1.19 and 1.20) the eggs have changed to a "Stage" system and no longer use a countdown. This is to create a more natural diversification between egg hatches, and creates gateways for more features in the future.

I apologize for the confusion here, I hope this all helps.

Hey I'm sorry for the trouble, but I am finding trouble in actually modifying the config files.

so that is my server config file open of dragonmounts.
Let's say for example I want to make dragon eggs spawn in chests and for the dragon egg to respawn with every ender dragon kill.
How am I meant to modify that?

Set the only false value there to true

It'd help if you opened with a text editor and not a browser, though.

Hello,
So I have started my game with the new config files.
The option for the dragon egg to respawn after killing the ender dragon more than once is successful.
But the feature where the dragon egg will adapt to its environment is not working.

This is an example of me putting the dragon egg around leaves, (I am using BareBones texture pack that's why they don't like like OG minecraft leaves) I have tried left clicking, right clicking, everything. The egg is not starting its hatching process whatsoever.

Looks like your particles are disabled. If you have right clicked the egg and your arm in game swung, the egg is hatching. This is also indicative through particles should someone have them on.

Eggs only adapt to environments while hatching.

I realize it's not intuitive and im working on a solution to this. Thanks!
