I’m making a datapack and haven’t been able to replicate the mod’s eggs changing into my custom breed eggs.

The question has been answered and no replies were sent back to accommodate the issue more, so I am closing.

To address the other concerns, I have recently just updated the example breed to reflect the most recent version (1.20.1) and is accurate as of. The wiki also now has a bit more detail covering each aspect of the dragon breed json, as well as the whole structure of an addon. (here)

I have the same issue (1.19.2) i've gone through the example datapack ad nauseum and have not been able to make it work. All i want to do is make a datapack to change the size of the dragons to make them bigger, so i tried to make the example breed bigger, but i can't get it to work period. Nor can i even change the attributes of an existing breed via datapack (as presented in the example datapack). I mean the example datapack doesn't even load in 1.19+ at all anymore unless you edit it, it's out of date.

Custom breed eggs should be able to transition to and from just like the built-in breeds. If you share the breed's JSON, I can try to reproduce the issue.
