Play as Dragon Gothic Edition-10.08.2023.zip

■ Minecraft version

1.18

■ Single game or server?

Single (Default)

■ Do you delete old configs before writing a bug report?

Nope (Default)

■ Description of incompatibility

  1. A mod in the Gothic Edition of Play as Dragon causes my game to crash. I have no issue running the standard edition of Play as Dragon, and the Gothic Edition starts up as normal, but trying to create a new world results in a game crash and an Exit Code 6.

■ To Reproduce

  1. Install Play as Dragon: Gothic Edition (10/8/2023 release)
  2. Launch Game
  3. Singleplayer mode
  4. Click on any pre-existing partially-created world, or create a new world
  5. Wait about 15-20 seconds while your cursor spins
  6. Crash, return to launcher, displaying an Exit Code 6.

If you have progress, send a new crash report.

according to the log you're missing adaptive_performance_tweaks_player_1.19.2-6.8.0.jar

considering that's the case you might be missing other stuff as well

  1. Gothic modpack does not exist on 1.18.2
  2. I've never tested the modpack on MAC OS and I'm not sure if it's compatible.
  3. Try uninstalling all adaptive_performance mods
  4. or wait for a global update of the modpack

  1. I'm running 1.19.2; the issue form didn't provide anything later than version 1.18 as an option
  2. Do you know of anyone else who plays on Mac OS that's been successful with the Gothic Edition?
  3. I've uninstalled various mods (including the adaptive performance ones) and running the modpack again. the title screen changes sometimes, but it ultimately crashes at the same spot.
  4. I'll probably have to do that, yeah. RIP.

I have a hunch that It might have something to do with my antivirus software (Netgear Bitdefender), but last night I got an update about a trojan file found in one of the mods in the pack (specifically, another_furniture-forge-2.1.2-1.19.2.jar) so I'm reluctant to turn my antivirus off just to play the gothic edition. (Removing this mod and running the modpack still results in a crash).

If there's any other mod combinations you want me to run and send crash files for, let me know and I can get them for you. I'm just not sure where to start looking, aside from removing every mod added to the standard edition to make the gothic edition, but if I remove all of the new mods then I'll just have another profile for Play as Dragon.
Thank you for your support, though!! Have a lovely day <33

I guess there's absolutely nothing I can do to help you with that. Maybe a new update will help. What exactly is the problem antivirus is showing with the another_furniture-forge mod? I can get the developer to fix the problem

starfish-studios/AnotherFurniture#58 It's a fake trigger. Antiviruses are evil as usual, huh.

Odd. I'll keep troubleshooting and working through the modlist to see if I find anything there. Running the modpack without my antivirus active results in the same crash, but installing the modpack without the antivirus gives me the 1.19 panorama background, plus I can access things like resource packs and shaders from the menu. Macs aren't the best for gaming in general, so I'm not too surprised by all of this; no sweat. I'll be okay with my single player dragon mode
