Seed and Location
Any seed. I'm trying to generate a world randomly (Normal Biome Mode)
Description
I seem to not be able to generate a Dregora World randomly (with Biome Mode set to Normal). When I create a world (setting World Type to OTG, and setting Overworld to Dregora), the result is one of two:
- It just gets stuck on 0%;
- Actually creates the world but the result is the following image:
Result 2) normally happens after I kill Minecraft (because it gets stuck on 0%). When I log back in, there's a world generated, but it looks like the image above.
Also, I should mention that when Biome Mode is set to FromImage, the world loads, and works flawlessly. However, I want to generate the world randomly.
I noticed in my WorldConfig.ini file, some default parameters differ from the ones stated on the Wiki. I tried changing the most relevant ones (specially the ones related to Normal/NoGroup generated). Still the same result.
Are there any known issues in the latest version that could be causing this? I still haven't tried older versions, but I thought I'd leave an issue here and see if I could get any help.
Thanks in advance.
Random mode will be added in the upcoming two updates to 1.12.2 and 1.16.5 will follow! It's a feature that I've been working on tirelessly for the last couple months and will be released pretty soon.
The first 1.12.2 update will happen tomorrow likely, the second in about a month or perhaps two then a 1.16.5 release should soon follow after addressing pretty much all of the shortcomings you've pointed out.
Dregora was first created to be pretty much a set map but about half a year ago I've decided to switch this around and make a hybrid version between fromimage & randomly generated terrain.
In these upcoming versions it'll work out of the box without tinkering.
