I wish resource packs and datapacks could be hidden, so that the player experience could be more enjoyable.

I am sorry, but this is not a feature minecraft provides by default and is far too complex, in order to maintain it as part of Global Packs. Therefore, it's out of scope for Global Packs and won't be added.
