Cruncher, I don't know how active on development you are, or if your just maintaining versions and such... but i have a simple (ahaha... simple...) request...

Rainbows on "light" rainy days. I had my first one in a long time after coming out of the nether durring an ember storm (hauntingly beautiful), and was like "oh, this is cool", enough that mobs didn't burn, but not so much it triggered Tough As Nails "wet" tag and made you cold.

one last thing (god It started of as one request now its several...) maybe on "cold" days (read as: random event), when the clouds don't form (if you can do it), in cold biomes, or... if you dare to enter the realm of cross mod compatibility: durring TaN's "winter" season, Sundogs would form, kinda like: https://i.imgur.com/TYsjIBI.gifv It would be super awesome and very beautiful to see. (apparently it can happen to the moon as well, called "paraselene", a handful of images come up on google image search, mostly anime stuff and apparently a music band called that as well X3. still pretty)

Anyway... thanks for taking the time to read this, I'll add a photo or two that I've found from image searches that look really nice

Seems like something a shader could do. Down side is that I don't know enough to tackle. :\ I also want to change the aurora code to use a shader so that they can be more dynamic and have more subtle color variations.

Not sure how well that would work. Would have to scan each chunk to see what biomes are present and that can be intensive. I will need to look at the data to see if there would be an efficient way to do this search.

Ahh, a shame.. well, it was worth asking at least ahah XD

One question about the Auroras though... I know they "spawn" in cold biomes but... I've lived on the boarder of a cold biome, but never see them, but if I poke my head into the cold biome and then go back 'home', they Aurora stays... would it be possible to make it so they always spawn relitive to a position in a cold biome, that way if the BIOME is in a loaded chunk, and not the player in the biome, an aurora will spawn, allowing players to more easily get to the auroras, provided the chunks stay loaded... it'd be really cool to use some kind of space mod (galacticraft, advanced rockets, etc) to fly through one
