When I put in the lapis my game crashes, putting in tools and weapons work fine though. I play on 1.17.1, I do have the PuzzleLib config file in my mods folder as well, not sure how to fix this

I need more information on this, otherwise I can't help you.
Please upload your latest.log (found in .minecraft/logs) and the corresponding crash-report (found in .minecraft/crash-reports) to a site such as pastebin or hastebin so I can take a look.

I'm not very good on computers but I've put both reports (log and crash) in the same pastebin, this is my first time doing something like this, sorry if I have done it wrong as it's my first time

Thank you. There are a few lines from the beginning of the crash-report missing, but I really need those. Would be great if you could try to upload the full crash-report. It may help when copying contents of the crash-report to press Ctrl+A to make sure everything is selected.

Oh my bad, I didn't notice, Hopefully everything is in order on this one. I've done Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C and Crtl+V to make sure everything is correct this time.

You need to update Forge to 1.17.1-37.0.102 or newer, that's all. :)

Oh so 1.17.1-forge-37.0.70 and 1.17.1-37.0.102 are different versions? Usually when you load up a mod it would say something about the mod not being able to work (I think). I presumed I was up to date as I have 1.18 installed but I use 1.17.1 for mods So all I need to do is update Java launcher? Sorry if this is incorrect, I just really wanna use this mod as it’s probably my favourite one so far haha

No worries, happy to help. :)

Well, Forge still has to fix bugs and add new features, so there is a new version now and then independent of Minecraft's releases. Just download the installer for the latest version from here: https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.17.1.html
Running it will update your launcher profile automatically.

And you can also update your modded setup to 1.18, most 1.17 mods are available for 1.18 as well.

Yeah I got a bit worried about all my mods not working for 1.18 as I have around 30 mods and it felt really overwhelming having to update all of them 1 by 1 haha Is there a way to like automatically update all mods in that sort of way if it’s 1.18 release date has been released? Or do I have to download the 1.18 version individually? It’s my first time moving to the new version of Java with mods, I’m sure it’s more easier then I’m making it out to be xD Thank you once again :)
