Since I want the new version of the mod out for my monthly update hopefully around Sunday. I'm willing to help test any bugs. Post links to the betas here and list any features or changes you want me to test.

Single player environment : i will test 1.18.2 - 1.20+
Multiplayer environment : i will test 1.19.2

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I will upload the next beta version later today with some smaller fixes.

All of my mods running on a real server with an reference mod pack to make sure they are running well.
See: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/bos-adventure-world

In general you will not be able to avoid all issues, because I would be never able to test all possible mod combinations.

For this reason user reports are important to get more insights how users are really using your mods and not how you think they are using your mods.

If the next beta is running stable for the next 24 hours I will prepare the release version together with updated documentation.

That is good to know. I agree with the avoid all issues comment. I myself have 3 phases of testing .. single player stress test in which i basically mess with each mod, teleport if it's a worldgen mod. Do things that I think might crash it. then I go to multiplayer on a copy of our play world and do the same by myself . After I'm happy with the results, I go and invite some friends n allow them to test there too. After all the testing is done then I upload to the main world. Our modpack is a collection of mods that requested by the community.

The main uses for this mod in our server is to just make the world seem more alive.
1.NPCs roaming around.
2.NPCs with dialog teaching people how to use the rides and attractions we have in our amusement park. Basically info bots.
3. Set up NPC event quests.
4. Set up a short story quest. Possible old school Yogscast like.

I know that Macaw is releasing his bridge update tomorrow around 3:30pm est, If your mod release lines up with his, that would be the icing on top.

I just finished my testing and released the 4.2.0 version on Modrinth and Curseforge.

If your mod pack is based on Curseforge, it could take some time, because normally it needs a human review, which takes 2-3 days. depending on the Curseforge team workload.

Thanks a lot for the offer.
I just released the beta version for all game versions, so happy testing. ;)

If you don't want to wait until CurseForge has approved the beta versions you can use Modrinth instead:

I already downloaded both the 1.19.2 n 1.20.1.. I did some stroll test with like 80 npcs overnight on the 1.19.2 version. I maintained high fps, I think, with no shader 200s with shaders 50-60ish .. I like how even with 80 npcs, there is little to no performance hit. I have the 1.20.1 doing the same while I'm at work. When I get home, I will test commands and more hand on features.

I have issues installing mods that are not full release. I dealt with crazy issues with beta mods breaking servers. I had to put a set of rules I follow for adding mods to my multi-player sever. I will test the stability of the current beta versions and mod devs, leaving a version in beta to go to higher forge versions. If one seems close to acceptable, I may use it. Stability of my server comes first. ๐Ÿ™‚

I got home like 20 mins can confirm a few things.

  1. Stroll around home works 1.18.2-1.20.1
  2. Do api doesn't crash on 1.19.2 when clicking npc and adding Let's Do items.
  3. Armorer's workshop dressing up works well.
  4. Distance commands works well.
  5. Basic and yes/no dialog works.

That's all I have tested so far. Probably mess with more after I eat.
