NPCs giving out xps despite the rewarded xps set to 0

Describe the bug
Like the title says, the NPCs still gives out xps despite the player setting the 'rewarded xps' section's number to 0. either I don't know how I can apply it, or it is supposed to be applied (as in apply I mean not give out any xp) but it still rewards xps regardless.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
I run a forge 1.19.2 Minecraft version (specifically forge 43.2.0)
Expected behavior
I have an item called 'coins' from the library mod 'libraryferret', and I was going to utilize that for my modded SMP server. I have setted up the npc who exchanges the coins, but I didn't wanted the npcs to reward the player xps everytime a player has to trade coins. so I have typed the number 0 in the 'rewarded xps' section, expecting the trade to work without players getting no xps at all if I set it to 0.
